"Koe-hog" or "Kwa-hog"???

These chopped quahogs from the RI Seafood Company are quintessential Rhode Island fare. The Native American word for "giant clam," quahog shells were used as the first currency by the Indians who called them "Wampum." Now, quahogs are valued for their hearty composition - you can't make decent chowder or clamcakes without them!
